We went to see these gorgeous Cheetah 'Cubs' at Spier today. Teenagers more like. Loads of American touristas. We got there in the early afternoon so the little guys were getting ready for their siesta. Cute.

The view from Cape Point is pretty spectacular. The wind was blowing so hard that i lost an earring. Hmmmm........
Another joy to behold is the Red Tide sweeping the coastline. So swim if you like water teeming with crazy breeding phytoplancton or not....

Such a small world.
Bumped into a guy i used to work with and haven't seen for a good few years. He has a darling little boy and a TV series called the Cocktail Kings. Pretty cool and really happy for him. It's on Discovery and they are headed for the US next.
It seems like everyone i know is somehow related or about to go into business with someone i know! Maybe London is that small or all my friends are in the same industry. Doh. Need to get out more i think.
Adrian is working late, so i am at a computer at his work killing time until he clocks out.
Looking forward to our visit to SA on the 15Th.
Some sun and surf and relaxation after a hard year at the grindstone.
Saw Gordon the-international-man-of-mystery yesterday. He and Oscar flew to Zurich this morning for their week of skiing and freezing. That is if they can get high enough up in the mountains to get any snow! The weather all over Europe has been so warm, that most places are snow-less.

I'm arriving on the morning of 15 March and will be in P-town for a few days and then on to Cape Town. I leave again from Joburg on the evening of the 28th. Ceux qui m'aiment prendront le train.

Well now. Yes, it has been a while and i have missed so much..........Ollie walking, Charisse travelling and chanting.....
I have started the new job and am having a cool time adjusting to life in retail.
The store is great and all the produce is fantastic and there are 2 large(sacred) white cows outside. :)
There are two camps at work, the Supermarket Mafia and the Foodies.
The latter is made up of staff who have worked in Delis and or just love their food. They are all slightly round people as a result. The Mafia all used to work for large supermarket chains over here and so have that corporate mentality and the whole quantity instead of quality attitude. Having infiltrated both camps, i have taken up go-between duties and as a result get told everything by everyone. Just the way my Jewish soul likes it.
My love of the public has not increased, but my skill has. I had the most awful nit-picking bag/hag in a crappy mood come in the other day and by the time she left, she was smiling and had told the store manager how wonderful i was. Unfortunately, it means she will be back.
There is a lot to be said for being indoors for winter.
Today is my day off, and it snowed most of the morning. I have been watching the pristine beauty of it turn to black mulch under the groaning skidding wheels of cars and boots of cold sniffling pedestrians. All this, from the snug centrally heated luxury of Adrian's flat.
I did venture out once this morning, to get my hair cut. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.......
'Because we're worth it!'

New Year, New Job..........
I am leaving the Bakery and going into Retail.......
Hooray!
My new job is a 20 minute walk from my house and is with an organic supermarket/indoor farmer's market type thingy.Quite excited about it and can't wait to start.
Hope y'all had a Happy New Year and are now back to the grind with glee or at least fortitude.
